Le Matine Verdeca Puglia PGI

From a selection of Verdeca grapes (also known as Pampanuto), this wine is crafted with luminous highlights and a floral and fruity bouquet, enriched with almond notes. The flavor is fresh and slightly mineral.

Classification: Verdeca Puglia Protected Geographical Indication.
Grapes: 100% Verdeca.
Production area: Murgia hills, 400 meters above sea level.
Training system: Apulian pergola.
Harvest period: mid-September.
Vinification: The grapes are immediately taken to the cellar for gentle pressing. The must is then cooled and kept at a low temperature for several hours. Once clarified, it is fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 16°C. The wine then ages in stainless steel until bottling.
Tasting Notes: A bright yellow color tending towards light green, it reveals distinct notes of jasmine, bergamot, and hints of pineapple on the nose. On the palate, the acidic freshness and citrus notes are immediately appreciated, with a good minerality on the finish.
Food Pairings: Creamed pea soup with clams, vegetable couscous, lampascioni omelette, octopus and potatoes with broad beans, pan-fried Apulian friggitelli peppers.
