In full respect of the biological processes of nature, the processing of the products and the bottling are carried out exclusively "fresh", that is within a few hours of harvesting, without resorting to conservation in drums, to preserve all the organoleptic qualities of the vegetables. The processing is also done by hand, as for home-made preserves, with a customized cooking, differentiated according to the size of the vegetables and in small doses, so that it is perfect.

The continuous search for goodness at the table

Romanticism, you might think, nowadays. No, reality. All this happens at MastrototaroFood, a company from Puglia specialized in the production of pickles, pates and ready-made sauces. The ultra-modern and technologically advanced equipment would allow the company of the Mastrototaro brothers to produce 100 thousand jars a day but, due to a specific company choice, they never exceed 5 thousand.

Kilometer Zero

The vegetables used for all our products are grown on the lands of the Mastrototaro family, in the heart of Puglia, in the warm sun of the South and in the clear and pure air. Tomatoes, artichokes, aubergines, peppers, courgettes, planted on the family lands, all within a few kilometres, are raised with care and knowledge.

The magnificent gifts of our land, generous and prosperous because treated with care, love and skill by expert hands, become raw materials of excellent quality for patés, preserves, pickles, sauces and the entire range of products with the Mastrototaro Food brand.

Total control of the supply chain, intentionally very short, which reflects the true zero kilometer, is essential to guarantee the excellence of production. “From producer to consumer”, a formula that is increasingly rare in today's market, in these parts is not a false slogan but a cardinal principle of the company philosophy to be followed scrupulously.
