Bellagriffi Moscatello Selvatico Puglia PGI

The native Moscatello Selvatico grape, cultivated using traditional methods and vinified using modern techniques, gives life to this wine, illuminated by golden reflections and with hints of peach, citrus, and tea rose. The flavor is fresh and aromatic.

Classification: Moscatello Selvatico Puglia Protected Geographical Indication.
Grapes: 100% Moscatello Selvatico.
Production area: Contrada Bellagriffi, in the Ruvo di Puglia countryside.
Training system: Alberello.
Harvest period: Late August/early September.
Vinification: The grapes are immediately brought to the cellar and destemmed and crushed. They are then cooled to 10°C (50°F). They then undergo a brief maceration in the press for 4-6 hours to extract the aromas from the skins. The free-run must is collected for fermentation in stainless steel at 15°C (59°F). The wine ages for 40 days on the lees before being bottled, where it
remains to mature for an additional 2 months.
Tasting Notes: Its intense straw yellow color and golden highlights hint at the complex aromas of this wine. It reveals delicate tea rose and white peach, while citrus notes give way to subtle notes of anise and sage. The finish is pleasant, fresh and slightly balsamic, with hints of medicinal herbs and rosemary.
Food Pairings: Risotto with wild herbs, cream of grass peas and saffron, fried sage, rosemary potatoes, Apulian-style monacelle.
Serving Temperature: 10°C
Analytical Data: Alcohol content 12% vol
Residual sugar 5.20 g.l.
Total acidity 5.50 g.l.
